Dear Friends,

This weeks interview is based on a question I received from a woman who feels that nobody finds her attractive – and she couldn’t get a date… and she was asking if Magick could possibly make her “more attractive”.

Whether you have ever felt that way or not (and most of us have felt “less than beautiful” at one point in our lives) it is important to realize that there are many people suffering from this kind of negative energy…

You see, the part of our world that is most visible (shows on television, movies, magazines, tabloids, etc) is extremely materialistic and vain.  With supermodels, Hollywood romances (and breakups), and reality TV which is focused on looks in most cases – it’s no wonder that some of us do not feel “good looking” enough to measure up…

Can Magick REALLY help?

Of course it can!  And in ways you never dreamed.  First, I’d like to discuss the problem – and the solution in a non-Magickal way.

Sometimes with all of the glamour of modern day life, we forget how special we really are.  How unique – and beautiful (and yes, guys, handsome) – we are.  But with all of these messages pounding down on us every day, with images of beauty and glamour (and plastic surgery) – our confidence in the way we look can suffer.  In fact, our confidence in everything we do, can suffer.

The specific person in question – who submitted the question to me – also had another problem.  It appears she was being harassed – and even ridiculed by some of her male coworkers.  So not only was she dealing with the negative energy coming in from the TV shows and magazines – but there were specific people strengthening this negativity – adding a little of their own to make darn sure that her confidence was swept away once and for all!

It broke my heart to hear this, and that’s when I realized something…

It’s easy to let their words manifest themselves into negative energy – and allow it to effect the view we have of ourselves.  But there is an alternative…

DO NOT give the TV, magazines, and people criticizing you any power!  It’s a choice (though not an easy one) we all have.  If you allow the negativity to grow inside of you, you are giving power to those sending that energy to you.

And this, my friends, is the root of the problem.  The non-Magickal solution, of course, is to let these things “bounce off” of you.  Just don’t let them in… ignore them.

This takes some mental strength, and can be a little tough – which is why Magick can help you in so many ways!  Even if you have a positive self-image already, you can build even more confidence – more belief in yourself (and your looks).

There are some very powerful protection spells, “stop slander” spells, and even special love spells that can create wonder, confidence, and absolute miracles for you in my Home Academy… but there is another kind of spell that can help you – and I am going to reveal it to you right now…

Confidence Magick!

There isn’t one thing in life (that I have seen) which Magick can’t fix.  In this case, why not “attack” the root of the problem?  Your confidence… your belief in yourself!

Here is a simple (and harmless) confidence spell you can do that will instantly flood your heart with the knowledge that you are special, and beautiful… and you will truly believe that no outside forces will ever change that.

”Rose Ariadne’s Original, Confident Beauty Spell”

Here is the spell, and it works best when done in the light of a full moon…
1. You’ll need a small hand mirror, the items you normally have on your altar, an extra handle of your favorite color (representing yourself), and a small charm or figurine that you find beautiful (it represents your attractiveness and beauty, both inside and out).

2. Create your sacred spaces, cleanse your area, cast your circle, and all of the other things laid out for you in the Mystical World Of Ancient Witchcraft.

3. Light your deity candles, and as you sit in the light of the candles (and the full moon) begin by looking at yourself in the mirror.  As you are gazing at yourself, focus on all of the positive features you have… don’t let ANY negative thoughts enter your mind.  Look at your skin, your nose, your mouth, your eyes…acknowledge each part of your face and recognize how unique and special each part is.  You came from the earth, you know, and the earth is truly beautiful – how could you be any less?

4. Now, as you continue looking into the mirror, say:

“I recognize myself, Rose Ariadne (or whatever your name is), as being a unique and beautiful person from the tips of my toes to the top of my head – and everywhere inside.”

5. Hold the mirror in your left had, as you light YOUR candle.  Place the charm next to the candle, at it’s base.

6. Tilt the mirror so that you can see your candle, and the charm in it’s reflection.  Now say :

“This candle represents me, Rose Ariadne (or whatever your name is).  And this charm is my beauty on inside and out, that nobody lays claim to but me.  For I am unique and special.  As I see both of them in this mirror of light, so they are both a part of me.  Myself, forever together with my beauty.  No words will change it, no thought disband it.  And so it is.  So mote it be!”

7. Blow out your candles, open your circle, and put things away… all the while think about the spell you just cast, and the feeling of confidence that has welled up inside of you.  Focus on that feeling, remember how it feels, and make a promise to yourself not to let it go… but if you ever falter, and negativity takes hold in you again – this ritual will always be there for you to instantly rebuild your confidence…

May you always feel (and know) that you are beautiful!

I will be taking a much needed vacation this week – exploring our great Earth and the wonders it hides… I’ll be gone for 9 days, but will find some time to do next Friday’s rant.
